Pene curvo, cause,cure e cosa fare

Alcuni uomini hanno un pene curvo in erezione, sia verso l’alto che il basso o lateralmente. E’ una condizione abbastanza comune che riguarderebbe almeno il 10% della popolazione adulta maschile. Nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi questa curvatura peniena non è un problema, lo diventa solo se la curva è eccessiva, se crea imbarazzo e difficoltà e dolore durante i rapporti sessuali.

In caso di curvatura del pene, durante l’eccitazione il sangue scorre negli spazi spugnosi all’interno del pene, provocando espansione ed irrigidimento dello stesso. Un pene curvo si verifica in genere quando questi spazi non si espandono in modo uniforme. Molto spesso, tale problematica è congenita, ovvero è dovuta a particolare anatomia del pene, ma a volte si crea del tessuto cicatriziale che induce alla curvatura, così come altri problemi. Riassumendo possiamo dire che le cause più comuni sono:

  • Normali differenze di anatomia del pene
  • Malattia autoimmune
  • Sviluppo anomalo di tessuto fibroso
  • Lesioni al pene
  • Malattia di Peyronie

La malattia di Peyronie in particolare si ha in seguito allo sviluppo di tessuto cicatriziale all’interno del pene, che da luogo alla curvatura anomala. Si manifesta più di frequente negli uomini tra i 40 ed i 70 anni. Non se ne conoscono le cause precise e scatenanti, ma numerose sono le opzioni terapeutiche al riguardo per controllare i sintomi (non per guarire): vanno dagli integratori di vitamina E alla chirurgia, passando anche per la terapia con onde d’urto.Per una diagnosi accurata della malattia di Peyronie  o più in generale sulla causa precisa del pene curvo è opportuno rivolgersi ad uno specialista in andrologia e/o urologia.

 

Quando preoccuparsi e perché

Una condizione clinica di questo tipo non richiede quasi mai un trattamento. Tuttavia, un pene gravemente piegato che provoca dolore in erezione o interferisce con il sesso (anche solo per forte imbarazzo psicologico), necessita di un consulto medico.

Un pene curvo da conformazione congenita (che si ha cioè dalla nascita) può incappare più di frequente in traumatismi durante il rapporto intimo con ematomi, gonfiore, sanguinamento ed addirittura “fratture del pene“. Questi traumi piccoli o grandi, se ripetuti nel tempo possono aggravare la situazione, favorendo una curvatura maggiore.

Pene curvo, quali cure?

In caso di necessità esistono vari trattamenti per questo tipo di problema, alcuni non invasivi, farmacologici, anche se con iniezioni localizzate, ma spesso si interviene chirurgicamente. L’operazione atta a correggere la curvatura del pene si chiama corporoplastica e si può effettuare anche in Day Hospital e con anestesia locale.

Una curiosità: il pene curva più frequentemente a sinistra, poi verso l’alto ed il basso. Raramente curva a destra!
