Stop a Facebook e dopo pochi giorni cala l’ormone dello stress: lo afferma uno studio australiano pubblicato dal Journal of Social Psychology, secondo cui però al calo dell’indicatore fisiologico non corrisponde una sensazione di maggiore benessere.
Insomma la fissa di stare sui social network non farebbe troppo bene alla salute e basterebbe prendersi una pausa per recuperare subito benessere. Lo studio è stato condotto su soggetti tra 18 e 40 anni: alcuni hanno dovuto rinunciare al social per cinque giorni, mentre altri hanno fatto da gruppo di controllo continuando normalmente. In coloro che avevano staccato con Facebook, i livelli di cortisone, ormone dello stress, si erano notevolmente abbassati. Eric Vanman, autore principale dello studio, però afferma:
Anche se i partecipanti allo studio hanno mostrato un miglioramento nello stress fisiologicohanno anche riferito un minore senso di benessere, dichiarando di non vedere l’ora di tornare a usare il social network. Questo studio comunque ci dice che uno stop di pochi giorni nell’uso di Facebook può migliorare lo stress, almeno a breve termine
