Se si ha troppa ansia e si è completamente consumati, questo farà deragliare le performance d’altra parte, moderati livelli di ansia possono facilitare e guidare le prestazioni. Ad esempio, può aiutare a concentrarsi e ad autoregolarsi sul proprio comportamento. In questo, coloro che partono motivati hanno una marcia in più: hanno infatti maggiori probabilità di sfruttare l’ansia come leva per concentrarsi sui loro compiti
