La depressione colpisce più le donne e i disoccupati: ad affermarlo è l’Istat che presenta i dati ufficiali.


Il disturbo riguarda in misura maggiore le donne e chi non lavora. Guardando i dati per genere, il tasso di depressione femminile è quasi doppio rispetto a quello maschile (9,1% contro 4,8%). Quanto al lavoro, nella popolazione tra i 35 e i 64 anni dichiara ansia e disturbi depressivi l’8,9% dei disoccupati e il 10,8% degli inattivi rispetto ad appena il 3,5% degli occupati. A tracciare il quadro è l’Istat che, nel report “La salute mentale nelle varie fasi della vita – anni 2015-17”, evidenzia anche un altro dato: sono in aumento gli alunni con disabilità nelle scuole italiane, soprattutto quelli con disturbi di salute mentale, che raggiungono quota 170mila.
