Sale d’attesa, attenzione alle infezioni

Qualche tempo fa abbiamo detto che prendere i mezzi pubblici aiuta a rafforzare le difese immunitarie in modo così da prevenire l’influenza o altre malattie dell’apparato respiratorio, mentre oggi vogliamo parlare del rischio che si corre stando seduti nelle sale d’attesa degli ospedali o degli studi medici.
Spesso, seduti nelle sale d’attesa, per ammazzare il tempo, si sfoglia svogliati una rivista o se si hanno dei bambini piccoli, li si fa giocare con i giocattoli che sono presenti nell’area giochi; niente di più sbagliato perchè questi oggetti sono veicoli di diverse malattie.



Vi è quindi una possibile diffusione di agenti patogeni che vengono per l’appunto veicolati da oggetti di uso comune e alla portata di tutti.
E così la maggior parte degli studi medici inglesi hanno tolto qualsiasi oggetto che possa essere toccato da più persone (tutto questo è scaturito dalla paura per il morbo dell’influenza suina e poi però continuato anche dopo) ed il risultato è stato molto incoraggiante.
Sono state sostituite anche le sedie presenti nelle sale d’attesa con delle panche lavabili che vengono pulite con dei disinfettanti ogni due ore e questo aiuta molto a prevenire dei possibili contagi.
Come fare a far passare il tempo mentre si aspetta il proprio turno? Niente di più facile, basta portarsi una rivista o un libro da casa e per i bambini, un giocattolo preferito e il gioco è fatto
