Della celiachia abbiamo parlato più volte, soprattutto perche risulta essere molto più pericolosa nelle donne, perchè ha una stretta connessione con l’osteoporosi e con il rischio di aborti spontanei nel caso di una gravidanza in cui non è stata diagnosticata questa malattia.

La malattia si caratterizza per il malassorbimento a livello intestinale che riduce notevolmente l’assimilazione dei principi nutrienti del cibo, e per la produzione di anticorpi in modo anomalo, provocando reazioni da parte dell’organismo che si vede attaccato da questi.



Essendoci un’alterazione della flora intestinale, vi sono quindi squilibri nutrizionali anche per quanto riguarda i micronutrienti come il calcio, ecco perchè può insorgere l’osteoporosi.
La riduzione di questa sostanza fa sì che i liveli ematici si abbassano quindi si innnesca un processo che impoverisce il tessuto osseo, che, oltre adinibire lo sviluppo di una persona, può provocare un’osteoporosi precoce nella donna prima della menopausa.
Provoca anche un calo di ferro, poichè questa sostanza non viene adeguatamente assorbita, che porta così all’anemia soprattutto nelle donne il cui flusso mestruale è molto abbondante.
Gli anticorpi che vengono prodotti da una prsona che soffre di celiachia possono creare delle reazioni incrociate, contro gli antigeni presenti sull’endotelio dei vasi sanguigni, contribuendo a creare le condizioni per problemi vascolaricome ad esempio l’emicrania con o senza aura.
