La resistenza agli antibiotici sta diventando giorno dopo giorno un problema sempre più preoccupante che non accenna a risolversi e che potrebbe assumere proporzioni devastanti.
Colpa dell’uso indiscriminato e molto spesso inutile dei farmaci antibiotici che le persone tendono ad assumere senza cognizione di causa e senza prescrizione medica per tentare di risolvere immediatamente i problemi di salute (ad esempio molti ricorrono inutilmente agli antibiotici per curare la tosse).

L’allarme è stato lanciato di recente da un rapporto del World Economic Forum secondo cui il problema della resistenza agli antibiotici sta diventando un problema molto rischioso per la popolazione mondiale anche perché se la ricerca di nuovi antibiotici va avanti per poter superare la resistenza a quelli attuali, il discorso implica comunque una serie di difficoltà oggettive.
