La prova ematica fornisce un risultato affidabile, ma per una valutazione più accurata si possono prendere in considerazione anche altre analisi in base ai consigli indicati dall’allergologo.

Come si svolgono le differenti tipologie di test allergologici?

L’esame del sangue per la rilevazione dei potenziali allergeni viene eseguito con un unico e modesto campione da un apposito laboratorio di analisi. Per visionare i risultati si devono attendere alcuni giorni e il parere del medico specialista che ha prescritto l’analisi. Il test di sensibilizzazione cutanea, invece, prevede l’esposizione diretta dei presunti allergeni sulla pelle per una valutazione visiva delle eventuali reazioni in un determinato arco temporale. Il contatto può avvenire tramite piccole perforazioni che introducono una piccola quantità della sostanza sospetta nel sistema immunitario. L’esame epicutaneo viene prescritto per indagare la comparsa di dermatiti da contatto e valutare le sostanze che innescano la risposta allergica tramite degli appositi cerotti che contengono gli elementi portatrici del problema. Il test di eliminazione, infine, diagnostica le allergie alimentari e prevede la sospensione temporanea di un alimento dalla dieta per un periodo più lungo.
