ABBA antibiotico, a cosa serve (INDICAZIONI)

L’amoxicillina, uno dei due principi attivi di questo medicinale rientra nella categoria degli antibiotici noti come “penicilline”, che ha un’ampio spettro anti batterico, ma la sua capacità può essere bloccata da alcuni fattori. L’acido clavulanico interagisce affinché questo non avvenga e potenziandone quindi l’efficacia. Tale medicinale, serve quindi a curare sia negli adulti che nei bambini delle infezioni batteriche quali:

  • Infezioni dell’orecchio e dei seni nasali (otite media acuta, sinusite batterica acuta)
  • Infezioni del tratto respiratorio (esacerbazione acute di bronchiti croniche, polmonite acquisite in
    comunità)
  • Infezioni del tratto urinario (cistite, pielonefrite)
  • Infezioni della pelle e dei tessuti molli (anche morsi di animale o ascesso dentale grave)
  • Infezione delle ossa e delle articolazioni (osteomielite)

 

Controindicazioni

Abba antibiotico non va preso (è cioè controindicato) da chi è notoriamente allergico ad uno dei principi attivi, a medicinali simili (penicilline in genere), o agli eccipienti. Va evitato anche dalle persone che hanno avuto o hanno malattie del fegato, o se hanno manifestato ittero in una precedente assunzione di questo farmaco.

 

Avvertenze

Abba antibiotico come pure gli altri farmaci simili necessitano di prescrizione medica. Questo per vari motivi: assumere un antibiotico quando non si è in presenza di un’infezione batterica è inutile e deleterio; in caso di virus non serve, ma se il virus è quello della mononucleosi si può manifestare anche una reazione avversa più o meno seria; un utilizzo eccessivo può sviluppare antibiotico-resistenza, ovvero alla lunga i batteri potrebbero avere la meglio su questo medicinale.

Se durante l’assunzione di amoxicillina si manifesta diarrea può essere normale, ma se questa è grave è opportuno parlarne immediatamente con il medico curante ed eventualmente sospendere la terapia: si potrebbe essere in presenza di un’infiammazione intestinale (colite)

Sarebbe sempre opportuno prima di assumere antibiotici, fare un antibiogramma per analizzare bene quale batterio andare a combattere e scegliere il farmaco ed il dosaggio più indicato.

Abba può influenzare i risultati di alcune analisi del sangue (globuli rossi e valori epatici) e delle urine (glucosio)

 

Interazioni di ABBA con altri medicinali

Abba antibiotico (e medicinali equivalenti) può interagire negativamente con l’assunzione di altri farmaci. Ecco a quali occorre prestare attenzione (meglio evidenziare al medico):

  • allopurinolo (si usa per la gotta o uricemia alta)
  • probenecid (altro medicinale per la gotta)
  • anticoagulanti orali (medicinali che aiutano a impedire la formazione di coaguli nel sangue, come il warfarin)
  • metotrexato (tumori e/o malattie reumatiche)

 

Gravidanza e allattamento

In gravidanza ed in allattamento questo farmaco va assunto solo in caso di effettiva necessità e previo controllo medico.

 

 

Effetti collaterali

Abba antibiotico può causare una serie di effetti collaterali:

  • Reazioni allergiche
  • Mughetto
  • Diarrea
  • Vomito e/o nausea
  • Giramenti di testa
  • Convulsioni

Dosi e posologia

E’ preferibile assumere il farmaco prima di cominciare a mangiare, anche per ridurre la possibilità di effetti collaterali gastrointestinali. La posologia va stabilita dal medico a seconda dei casi. In genere la dose raccomandata per adulti è di 1 bustina o compressa 2 volte al giorno (ogni 12 ore).
