Circa il 7% degli italiani ha il cosiddetto piede piatto che consiste nell’appiattimento della volta plantare. Ma non solo. In realtà non è tanto importante la forma del piede, ma soprattutto la sua azione e il comportamento durante il movimento. In realtà si nasce con il piede piatto, ma il piede deve formarsi entro i 4-5 anni di vita.

 

Se ciò non accade è possibile intervenire con l’adozione di plantari su misura che impediscono al tallone di deviare verso l’esterno e che riallineano il piede.  Una pianta piatta può infatti creare difetti di appoggio e causare movimenti scoordinati visto che senza rendersene conto il peso del corpo viene spostato erroneamente e può causare sollecitazioni dolorose per le ginocchia fino a coinvolgere anche la colonna vertebrale.

Per poter identificare con certezza la presenza di un piede piatto e verificare il movimento reale è necessario rivolgersi all’ortopedico che potrà rendersi conto del movimento del piede sul tallone e sulle punte. Il problema però non è irreversibile visto che è possibile risolvere il problema grazie a dei plantari personalizzati che vengono realizzati dai tecnici ortopedici in base alle prescrizioni del medico.

Il plantare va inserito all’interno della calzature e si basa sulla presenza di una sorta di conchiglia rigida che va applicata dietro il tallone per evitare che devii verso l’esterno: in questo modo il piede viene riallineato in asse fino a contrastare l’appiattimento della volta plantare.

I nuovi plantari sono molto sottili e realizzati in materiali resistenti: hanno un costo variabile che va dai 150 ai 250 euro e non sono rimborsabili. È necessario cambiarli ogni anno e mezzo affinché siano sempre efficaci.
