I tacchi alti vanno usati con moderazione

Le donne amano i tacchi alti, anche se in effetti sono scomodi ed impegnativi da indossare.
E non si tratta solo della difficoltà di movimento e di postura, secondo quanto rilevato da un recente studio che sarà presentato prossimamente al meeting annuale della American Society of Biomechanics.
Secondo quanto osservato dalla ricercatrice Danielle Barkema, studentessa di kinesiologia al lavoro presso la Iowa State University, il danno dei tacchi alti potrebbe farsi sentire alle caviglie, al ginocchio ed alle anche.

Per verificare quali siano le conseguenze dell’indossare tacchi alti o altissimi la ricercatrice ha reclutato 15 donne che sono state invitate a camminare su una piattaforma preparata appositamente in grado di misurare il movimento delle articolazioni e la forza cui queste sono sottoposte attraverso sensori di movimento e telecamere.

Le donne indossavano alternativamente scarpe basse, con tacco medio e con tacco molto alto.

Dall’osservazione è risultato che ginocchia e caviglie sono le parti del corpo maggiormente sottoposte ad usura, e che i tacchi alti provocano una maggior compressione all’interno del ginocchio, con la conseguenza di inasprire le tensioni e provocare dolori articolari.

I tacchi alti alterano in maniera evidente la postura, costringendo caviglie, ginocchia ed anche a posizioni innaturali, che alla lunga possono aumentare il rischio di degenerazione articolare ed osteoartrite.

A conclusione della ricerca la Bakema ha comunque commentato che quanto riportato nella ricerca non vuol significare che si debbano abbandonare i tacchi alti, ma piuttosto che questi debbano essere usati con moderazione, evitando di tenerli ai piedi per tutto il corso della giornata.
