L’artrite psoriasica è una malattia infiammatoria cronica delle ossa, delle articolazioni.Il primo a parlarne fu un medico francese, JeanLous Alibert, nel 1818. Utili per la diagnosi sono i raggi x e la risonanza magnetica e alcuni esami di laboratorio, ad esempio l’analisi del liquido sinoviale. Riguardo la cura ancora non vi è una vera e propria terapia per debellare l’ artrite psoriasica, la prima cosa da fare sarà rivolgersi ad un reumatologo, che procederà’ cercando di alleviare il dolore del paziente, il gonfiore e la rigidità articolare con dei farmaci antinfiammatori non steroidei; nei casi in cui la malattia agisce in maniera piu’ severa si ricorrerà’ a farmaci immunosoppressori.
