Singulair (Montelukast Sodico) – MSD Italia è un farmaco utilizzato per prevenire l’asma e per curarla in aggiunta ad altri medicinali, quando questi non riescono a fornire un controllo adeguato dei sintomi. Non è efficace in caso di un attacco acuto di asma. Può essere utilizzato anche per contrastare i sintomi della rinite allergica. E’ indicato negli adulti, anziani, e nei bambini, a partire dai 2 anni di età e come tutti i farmaci può avere effetti collaterali.

Come funziona Singulair (Montekulast Sodico)?

Questo medicinale appartiene ad un gruppo di farmaci chiamati antagonisti del recettore dei leucotrieni, sostanze che si trovano nei polmoni e che provocano il restringimento ed il blocco delle vie aeree da cui nascono i sintomi dell’asma (dispnea, tosse, senso di costrizione toracica). Contrastando l’azione di questi con il Singulair si riducono i disturbi e si prevengono anche attacchi d’asma futuri. Poiché i leucotrieni contribuiscono anche ai sintomi della rinite allergica stagionale, tae farmaco agisce allo stesso modo anche su questi.

 

Effetti collaterali del Singulair

Il Singulair (e tutti gli altri medicinali equivalenti che hanno come principio attivo il Montekulast Sodico) è in genere ben tollerato, ma può comunque comportare degli effetti collaterali, come i seguenti:

  • Ritenzione idrica
  • Epistassi (sangue dal naso)
  • Mal di testa
  • Vertigini
  • Sonnolenza
  • Sensazione di stanchezza
  • Ricorrenti infezioni delle vie aeree superiori
  • Nei bambini enuresi
  • Dolori muscolari o articolari
  • Crampi
  • Sensibilità della pelle o sua diminuzione
  • Formicolio
  • Mal di stomaco
  • Nausea
  • Diarrea
  • Abbassamento dei livelli delle piastrine nel sangue

 

 

Nessuno di questi sintomi è pericoloso, ma è preferibile sempre avvisare il medico prescrittore. E’ altresì fortemente consigliato farlo in caso si presentino altri effetti secondari di tipo neurologico, come i seguenti:

  • Stato di agitazione, irritabilità, irrequietezza, sensazione di ansia
  • Aggressività
  • Tremore
  • Movimenti muscolari incontrollati
  • Depressione
  • Senso di disorientamento
  • Disturbi dell’attenzione
  • Allucinazioni
  • Distirbi della memoria
  • Disturbi del sonno
  • SonnambulismoVa avvisato rapidamente il medico anche all’insorgenza dei seguenti possibili effetti collaterali, gravi sebbene fortunatamente rari:

 

  • Eruzione cutanea o prurito
  • Aumento della tendenza al sanguinamento, lividi
  • Battiti cardiaci veloci o irregolari (palpitazioni)
  •  Polmonite
  • Sintomi di malattia epatica, come nausea, vomito, perdita di appetito, sensazione di malessere generale, febbre, prurito, ingiallimento della pelle e degli occhi, e urine di colore scuro
  • Pensieri ed azioni suicide

 

Non solo. Se si presentano questi ulteriori sintomi è necessario non solo interrompere l’assunzione di Singulair ed avvisare il medico, ma anche recarsi quanto prima in un pronto soccorso:

  • Gonfiore del viso, delle labbra, della bocca, della gola e della lingua che causano difficoltà a respirare o a deglutire
  • Ponfi rosa e pruriginosi sulla pelle (orticaria) reazioni cutanee gravi che possono verificarsi senza preavviso
  • Svenimento

Questi possono essere gravi effetti collaterali del Singulair, sintomi di una reazione allergica al principio attivo o ad uno degli eccipienti.

    El gran secreto: el diagnóstico no puede ser un show. Tiene que convertirse en un plan concreto con hitos, encargados y plazos. Si no, es puro powerpoint.

    Errores que en Chile se repiten (y matan el proceso)

    Ofrecer mejoras y no ejecutar: los colaboradores chilenos lo detectan al tiro; pura volada.

    No garantizar el confidencialidad: en ambientes muy autorregidas, el miedo a castigos es real.

    Calcar encuestas gringas: hay que adaptar el lenguaje a la realidad local.

    Tomar una foto y no seguir: el clima varía tras la salida de un líder clave; hay que monitorear de forma constante.
