In arrivo la cura definitiva per i capelli grigi

Un team di ricercatori della tedesca Arndt University di Greifswald, e del britannico Centre for Skin Sciences, School of Life Sciences, dell’Università di Bradford, sembra aver trovato la cura definitiva per i capelli grigi, che potrebbe mandare in pensione le tinture per capelli.


I risultati di questo studio sono stati pubblicati sulla rivista FASEB (The Faseb Journal), riportando che i capelli grigi sono dovuti ad un grande e diffuso stress ossidativo dell’organismo. Si tratta di un processo che succede come conseguenza dell’accumulo di perossido di idrogeno nel follicolo pilifero, che in pratica sottopone i capelli a un trattamento di candeggina dall’interno verso l’esterno, portando al risultato ben conosciuto.

Secondo quanto scoperto dagli esperti, l’accumulo di perossido di idrogeno può essere trattato con un composto a uso topico UVB-activated che è stato ribattezzato “PC-KUS”. Questo trattamento, evoluzione della Pseudocatalasi per trattare la vitiligine, è ritenuto ancora più efficace anche nella cura di questo disturbo, il quale causa la perdita di colore della pelle che si presenta con le tipiche macchie bianche.

► RIMEDI PERDITA DI CAPELLI

Lo studio ha preso in esame 2.411 pazienti affetti da vitiligine e provenienti da tutta Europa, di cui 57 affetti da vitiligine rigorosamente segmentale (SSV), 76 da vitiligine mista, che è composta da SSV più vitiligine non-segmentale (NSV). La ricerca ha scoperto che chi soffriva di vitiligine rigorosamente segmentale (SSV), mostrava lo stesso stress ossidativo osservato nella più frequente vitiligine non-segmentale (NSV) generale. La scoperta permette quindi di risolvere sia il problema della vitiligine che dei capelli grigi, infatti la NSV solitamente viene associata a una diminuita capacità antiossidante, tra cui catalasi, tioredossina reduttasi, e i meccanismi di riparazione solfossido reduttasi metionina.
