Troppo paracetamolo in gravidanza provoca iperattività nei bambini? E’ quanto afferma uno studio norvegese coordinato da Eivind Ystrom del Norwegian Institute of Public Health all’Università di Oslo. Se assunto in dosi eccessive, questo principio attivo non farebbe dunque bene al feto.
Nello studio sopra citato, l’uso del farmaco solo durante un trimestre di gravidanza sarebbe stato associato a un aumento della probabilità di avere un figlio con iperattività i deficit di attenzione del 7%, mentre il rischio sarebbe aumentato fino al 22% tra le donne che hanno assunto il medicinale per due trimestri e fino al 27% quando veniva utilizzato nel corso di tutta la gravidanza. Troppo paracetamolo dunque non solo sarebbe causa di bambini iperattivi ma provocherebbe anche in loro un deficit di attenzione, con tutte le conseguenze del caso.
