I calcoli vescicali (ovvero alla vescica) hanno origini e cause ben diverse da quelli renali anche se in realtà la sintomatologia a cui possono portare (come il dolore ed il sangue nelle urine) è molto simile. Di fatto nella maggioranza dei casi, i sassolini di minerali si addensano nella vescica per alcune problematiche sottostanti che favoriscono il ristagno delle urine nella vescica (ovvero il suo completo svuotamento): è più frequente negli uomini, nei quali la prostata ingrossata –che va a comprimere sull’uretra bloccano il flusso urinario- è piuttosto frequente. Quali cure? Vediamolo insieme.

Frantumazione dei calcoli

Calcoli alla vescica sono spesso rimossi durante una procedura chiamata cistolitolapassi che prevede l’inserimento nell’uretra di un cistoscopio (un tubo finissimo dotato di telecamera) atto a scovare il calcolo e poi a frantumarlo tramite diverse metodiche: con il laser, gli ultrasuoni o meccanicamente. E’ necessaria un’anestesia, generale o loco regionale a seconda dei casi. Queste metodiche non sono scevre da complicanze post operatorie se pur rare, come le infezioni, sanguinamento o febbre. In genere tutto si può risolvere in breve ed un follow-up di controllo si esegue di prassi a 30 giorni.

Intervento per togliere i calcoli alla vescica

Di rado, quando i calcoli alla vescica sono troppo grandi o duri che non si riescono a frantumare, si può ricorrere ad un intervento chirurgico. Con incisione diretta della vescica. Se la causa scatenante è la prostata ingrossata, si può intervenire anche su questa nel corso della medesima operazione.

 

Rimedi naturali e medicina alternativa

Si ritiene che i semi di sedano possano aiutare a sciogliere i calcoli alla vescica, così come gli integratori a base di erbe (ortensia, bacche di ginepro, prezzemolo e uva ursina) che servono per aumentare il flusso urinario e quindi allontanare eventuali sedimenti. Sembra utile anche assumere succo di mirtillo e/o di limone non zuccherati. In primo aiuta a tenere sotto controllo le infezioni, ed il secondo a disinfettare e pulire bene le pareti della vescica. Poiché spesso i calcoli sono provocati dall’incapacità di svuotare completamente la vescica, con questo scopo alcuni pazienti possono trarre beneficio dagli esercizi di Kegel, che vengono utilizzati per rafforzare i muscoli coinvolti nella minzione.
Nessuno studio scientifico però ha confermato o direttamente correlato i rimedi a base di erbe quali strumenti per sciogliere i calcoli già formati. Più in generale, non bisognerebbe mai assumere rimedi a base di erbe senza parlarne prima con il proprio medico curante perché alcune di queste possono interagire con farmaci in uso.

 

Sintomi da non trascurare:

Non sempre i calcoli vescicali danno sintomi, laddove si manifestino possono essere i seguenti:

• Dolore al basso ventre
• dolore o fastidio al pene (negli uomini)
• Minzione dolorosa e/o frequente
• Difficoltà a urinare ache con dolore o interruzione del flusso urinario
• Sangue nelle urine
• Urine scure (concentrate)
