La depressione post partum varia in base alle stagioni? Detta così suona in modo un po’ strano ma è questo che afferma uno studio condotto dall’American Society of Anesthesiologists su oltre 20mila donne diventate mamme in periodi diversi dell’anno. Analizzando la fase successiva al parto, si è visto come la percentuale di cadere in depressione post partum fosse più bassa nelle donne che avevano dato alla luce i loro bambini in primavera e in inverno.

Autunno e estate erano invece stagioni considerate a rischio. Partorire in inverno o in primavera potrebbe favorire il benessere psicologico delle donne dopo il parto perché le neo mamme, in questi periodi dell’anno, riscoprirebbero la bellezza di condividere in casa momenti di grande affetto con i neonati. La depressione post partum si stima possa colpire circa il 10% delle donne che diventano madri. Tristezza, ansia, agitazione e mancanza di serenità sono alcuni dei sintomi più comuni nelle donne che incappano in questo disturbo, da non prendere assolutamente sotto gamba.
