Succede in Italia, per quanto ciò possa sembrare letteralmente incredibile, che per riuscire a fare la prima ecografia ostetrica si debbano aspettare anche 9 mesi (rendendo, di fatto, completamente inutile codesto particolare esame).

Succede anche, purtroppo, che la prima ecologia morfologica, di fondamentale importanza e solitamente prevista tra la 19esima e la 23esima settimana di gravidanza, possa venir ritardata, in taluni particolari casi e, fortunatamente, solamente nelle strutture con più di 2.500 parti all’anno, addirittura di ben 104 giorni (il ritardo medio è comunque compreso tra gli 8 ed i 30 giorni).
