Dolore all’inguine? Potrebbe trattarsi di uno strappo o di uno stiramento dei muscoli dell’area così come di quelli della coscia: capita quando vengono messi troppo sotto stress, in genere durante uno sforzo fisico, molto comunemente in chi fa attività sportiva, specie se si tratta di corsa, calcio, hockey e simili.  Se tesi troppo o d’improvviso i muscoli in questione possono subire uno stiramento (allungamento) o un vero e proprio strappo. Si tratta di due lesioni diverse (che si contrappongono alla contrattura muscolare caratterizzata da una sintomatologia simile) che possono essere di varia entità.  Scopriamo insieme quali sono i sintomi ed i rimedi.

Sintomi di strappo o stiramento inguinale

  • Dolore e nell’inguine e nell’interno coscia
  • Dolore quando si mettono le gambe unite
  • Dolore quando si alza il ginocchio
  • Dolore improvviso durante uno sforzo, con la sensazione di rottura

Il sintomo ovviamente non è sempre eguale, varia a seconda della sensibilità individuale oltre che del danno ricevuto. Gli specialisti distinguono comunque tre gradi di gravità per fare una diagnosi precisa e stabilire la migliore cura del caso:

  • 1 ° grado: dolore lieve, con poca perdita di forza o movimento
  • 2 ° grado: dolore moderato, da lieve a moderata perdita di forza e capacità di movimento (in genere rappresenta una minima lesione del muscolo)
  • 3 ° grado: dolore forte, grave perdita di forza e funzionalità (capita essenzialmente quando si è in presenza di uno strappo muscolare, ovvero della rottura effettiva del tessuto)

 

La diagnosi precisa non può prescindere anche da altre metodiche: un approfondito esame fisico , raggi X, risonanza magnetica o ecografia inguinale (utili anche ad escludere l’ernia inguinale come causa del dolore all’inguine).

 

Quali rimedi per lo stiramento inguinale?

Fortunatamente, uno stiramento all’ inguine di solito guarisce da solo. L’importante è mettersi seriamente a riposo per qualche tempo. Per accelerare la guarigione, è possibile:

Nell’immediato, applicare ghaccio nell’interno coscia o sull’inguine per ridurre il dolore e gonfiore. Si consiglia questa pratica semplice per 20- 30 minuti ogni 3 o 4 ore per 2 o 3 giorni, o fino a quando il dolore se ne è andato. Non utilizzare ghiaccio a diretto contatto con la pelle.
Comprimere la coscia con un bendaggio elastico.
Prendere antidolorifici anti-infiammatori all’occorrenza. I farmaci antinfiammatori non steroidei (FANS ), come l’ibuprofene ed il naprossene sono efficaci sia contro il dolore che contro il gonfiore, ma non se ne deve fare un abuso, in quanto possono avere importanti effetti collaterali specie se utilizzati per molto tempo. Se in dolore non passa nell’arco di qualche giorno è necessario rivolgersi ad uno specialista per controlli più approfonditi piuttosto che proseguire con i farmaci

In un secondo momento, passata la sofferenza iniziale, il medico potrà suggerire attività di stretching e di rafforzamento.

Laddove queste metodiche non raggiungono gli obiettivi sperati è opportuno pensare ad un intervento chirurgico, ma solo quale ultima risorsa. Non tutti possono tornare al loro precedente livello di attività in seguito.
