Una mattina viene una ragazza giovane, poco più di trent’anni, che avevo operato qualche anno prima per un melanoma. “Dottore, ho un linfonodo che si è improvvisamente ingrossato”. Glielo tolgo e rimango senza parole: era nero. Ero davvero preoccupato e tanto dispiaciuto: era una bella ragazza, aveva tutta la vita davanti, sembrava che l’intervento di rimozione del melanoma fosse andato bene ma davanti al colore di quel linfonodo ho pensato al peggio, ero convinto che la faccenda fosse messa molto male. Dopo averlo mandato d’urgenza ad analizzare […] mi dicono: guarda che qui dentro non c’è nulla che non va, a parte un colorante che non capisco”. Allora ho ripensato a quella ragazza e ho tirato un sospiro di sollievo: aveva molti tatuaggi e il colorante arrivava da lì, attraverso i vasi linfatici era stato trasportato e si era concentrato nei linfonodi. Ecco, questa storia ci racconta una cosa: quanto sia importante, quando una persona decide di farsi un tatuaggio, avere la certezza che le sostanze utilizzate per tatuare siano sicure, perché esse penetrano nella pelle, arrivano ai linfonodi e vi rimangono. E potrebbero causare danni enormi se fossero tossiche
