Sono sempre più i bambini che crescono a rischio asma: colpa dei grandi che li costringono a subire il fumo passivo fin dai primi mesi di vita. Sono alcuni dei dati emersi in occasione del 20/mo congresso nazionale della Società Italiana per le Malattie Respiratorie Infantili (Simri) che si è tenuto a Roma. I dati sono davvero preoccupanti e disegnano un quadro poco felice per la salute dei bimbi.
Renato Cutrera, presidente Simri e Direttore dell’Unità operativa di Broncopneumologia all’Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù di Roma, spiega:
L’esposizione passiva al fumo aumenta del 43% il rischio di asma, una malattia in crescita che colpisce il 10% degli italiani con meno di 14 anni
