Tanini: sono le sostanze tanto ricercate dalle donne soprattuto perchè contrastano i radicali liberi, la principale causa dell’invecchiamento cutaneo. Si trovano in cibi come lenticchie, fagioli, uva, vino e mele.

Isoflavoni: contrastano l’azione degli estrogeni e riducono il rischio di tumore al seno e alle ovaie. Si trovano in alimenti come fagioli, piselli, arachidi e tofu.

Limonane: impedisce la crescita di cellule maligne e si trova nella buccia del limone o dell’arancia.

Terpeni: contrastano i radicali liberi e sono contenuti in tutti gli agrumi.

Acidi fenolici: hanno un effetto antiossidante e si trovano in cibi come patate, mirtilli, ciliegie, pere, mele, arancia e pompelmo.
