Tutta una serie di benefici messi ancora una volta in evidenza stavolta da David Weeks, psicologo a capo Royal Edinburgh Hospital, coordinatore di un recente studio che ha dimostrato che una relazione stabile anche da un punto di vista sessuale conferisce un aspetto più giovanile e fa sembrare gli uomini e le donne più giovani, regalando qualche anno di meno, dai cinque ai sette.
Attenzione però ai rapporti sessuali occasionali che possono essere rischiosi per la salute fisica e la serenità mentale.
Si parla soprattutto dei rischi legati al sesso occasionale da un punto di vista fisico, dalle gravidanza indesiderate alla malattie sessualmente trasmissibili (dall’AIDS al papilloma virus tanto per citarne alcune).
In più, secondo un recente studio condotto dai ricercatori statunitensi della California State University di Sacramento e pubblicato sul The Journal of Sex Research, fare sesso occasionale potrebbe comportare dei problemi a livello mentale, causando ansia e depressione.

Coordinato dalla dottoressa Melina Bersamin, lo studio ha preso in considerazione quasi 4.000 soggetti, uomini e donne, di età compresa tra i 18 e i 30 anni. Lo studio, che ha raccolto i dati relativi alla loro vita sessuale, ha messo in evidenza che chi aveva avuto rapporti sessuali occasionali con un uno sconosciuto o persona appena conosciuta, mostrava livelli inferiori di autostima, felicità e soddisfazione per la propria vita, rispetto alle persone che non riferivano esperienze del genere.
È pur vero che la stessa dottoressa ha spiegato che si tratta di uno studio iniziale e che è ancora prematuro indicare il sesso occasionale come responsabile di danni psicologici certi per i giovani, ma è anche vero che i risultati lasciano emergere una certa correlazione fra il sesso occasionale e una sorta di disagio psicologico delle persone.
