Ci stiamo naturalmente riferendo all’abitudine, quanto mai errata sia dal punto di vista fisico che psicologico, di condurre i figli obesi non già dal medico di medicina generale o dal pediatra quanto, piuttosto, dal chirurgo estetico.

A denunciare una situazione che andrebbe di anno in anno deteriorandosi la neonata ONLUS Fondazione Italiana per la Lotta all’Obesità Infantile che, nella giornata di ieri, mercoledì 10 ottobre 2012, avrebbe presentato a Roma il proprio statuto.
Giorgio Calabrese, docente di nutrizione umana e dietoterapia all’Università di Torino e alla Cattolica di Piacenza, avrebbe a tal proposito tenuto a ribadire che l’unica soluzione sana ai problemi di peso, che ormai coinvolgono addirittura il 35% dei bambini e degli adolescenti italiani, molti dei quali, all’incirca il 12%, sarebbero a tutti gli effetti da considerarsi propriamente obesi, è quella da sempre consigliata da medici, pediatri, nutrizionisti ed esperti: dieta equilibrata e tanto sport.
Peccato, però, che solamente 1 bambino su 5 pratichi regolarmente una qualsiasi attività sportiva e che i genitori, contrariamente a quanto consigliabile, sarebbero fermamente convinti che, sino ai 12 anni di età, il bambino possa pesare più del dovuto.
