La colazione è il pasto più importante della giornata? Molto probabilmente sì e sopratutto se è molto ricca: secondo un recente studio israeliano pubblicato su Obesity infatti fare una ricca colazione la mattina rappresenta un modo efficace per poter prevenire e ridurre il rischio di obesità, diabete e problemi cardiovascolari.
E secondo i ricercatori israeliani dell’University of Tel Aviv non è neppure solo importante che cosa si mangia a colazione, ma anche quanto si mangia e quel che può essere definita una super colazione non farebbe solo bene alla linea, ma soprattutto alla salute.
I ricercatori hanno condotto lo studio coinvolgendo 93 donne obese e dividendole in due gruppi distinti: ciascuno ha seguito una dieta ipocalorica da 1400 calorie ciascuna per 12 settimane.
Le calorie delle diete, seppur identiche, erano però distribuite diversamente: la prima prevedeva 700 calorie a colazione, 500 a pranzo e 200 a cena con la maggior pare delle calorie concentrate proprio nella super colazione. La seconda dieta assegnata all’altro gruppo prevedeva 200 calorie a colazione, 500 a pranzo e 700 a cena, con la maggior parte delle calorie concentrate a cena.
SALTARE LA PRIMA COLAZIONE AUMENTA IL RISCHIO DI MALATTIE CARDIOVASCOLARI
Trascorso il periodo di tempo necessario dello studio, i dati hanno mostrato che le donne che avevano seguito la dieta ipocalorica con la super colazione (che includeva fra gli altri alimenti anche un dolce) mostravano nell’arco della giornata condizioni migliori di salute con livelli più bassi di insulina, glucosio e trigliceridi, dati che si traducono in un rischio minore di sviluppare malattie cardiovascolari, diabete o ipertensione.
Tra l’altro gli effetti benefici della super colazione si traducevano anche a livello di linea visto che le donne che avevano seguito la dieta ipocalorica con la ricca colazione presentavano anche un calo di peso pari a 8 chili dopo 12 settimane, rispetto ai 3 chili persi dall’altro gruppo delle donne nello stesso lasso di tempo.
Secondo i ricercatori i risultati potrebbero essere spiegati dalla presenza dell’ormone grelina che va a regolare la sensazione di fame: chi faceva una ricca colazione infatti presentava livelli più bassi dell’ormone e consumava meno snack durante la giornata.
Tra l’altro fare una ricca colazione aiuterebbe anche a mantenersi in forma andando a ridurre l’apporto di calorie distribuite nel resto della giornata, favorirebbe il buonumore al mattino e senza dubbio aumenta anche il carico di energia fin dalle prime ore della giornata consentendoci di affrontare gli impegni quotidiani nel migliore dei modi.
