Determinare come obiettivo quello di effettuare almeno 30 minuti al giorno di attività fisica, anche non continuativi.
Camminare, è l’attività più semplice per tutti da praticare. E, secondo recenti studi, con l’aiuto di un pedometro o di un contapassi, l’attività aumenta sensibilmente, fino al 25% in più.
Programmare l’attività fisica che è possibile svolgere nella propria vita quotidiana, come stabilire di alzarsi dalla scrivania per consegnare un messaggio o comunicare con i colleghi, prendere le scale invece dell’ascensore, utilizzare il momento dei lavori domestici per inserirci qualche attività fisica ulteriore e, ancora, trovare durante la giornata altri modi per fare movimento.
Registrare su un diario quotidiano le attività fisiche che si sono fatte: il monitoraggio delle proprie attività ed il tenerne traccia sono di grande aiuto per valutare e migliorare la qualità dei propri sforzi.
Non preoccuparsi tanto della perdita di peso: bisognerebbe rendersi conto che una regolare attività fisica fa bene anche se non si perde peso. Per perdere chili, l’attività giornaliera dovrebbe essere superiore ai 60 minuti giornalieri.
Praticare attività che si fanno con piacere e facilmente, e provare a praticarne una certa varietà: variare è utile sia per il fisico che per la mente.
Cercare il sostegno di amici e familiari convincendoli ad aggiungere anche loro i 30 minuti in più di attività giornaliera. Fatto insieme non è solo più divertente ma anche più facile.
Programmarsi aspettative realistiche: uno dei grandi ostacoli al cambiamento dello stile di vita risiede proprio nel pretendere risultati immediati ed evidenti. Aspettative più modeste e concrete possono invogliare maggiormente ad ulteriori impegni.
