Questo progetto offrirà all’oncologo medico una potenzialità diagnostica e terapeutica in tutte le fasi di gestione del paziente dal follow-up al monitoraggio dell’efficacia della terapia oncologica e alle scelte terapeutiche successive. Provvederà all’interno di trial clinici di impattare sulla sopravvivenza globale del paziente riducendo le terapie inefficaci e migliorare o addirittura eliminare effetti iatrogeni
Piuttosto che cercare cellule o DNA tumorali nel sangue, che sono presenti solo quando il tumore è già sviluppato e a volte già in stato avanzato, il programma Helixafe esegue il monitoraggio periodico delle mutazioni somatiche per intercettare l’eventuale instabilità genetica che anticipa lo sviluppo della patologia.
