Si è conclusa la terza edizione del Festival della Scienza Medica, evento che si è tenuto a Bologna e che ha mirato a sottolineare l’importanza della conoscenza e della consapevolezza per una vita in salute. Tanti i medici che hanno partecipato mettendo a disposizione la loro conoscenza e fitta la partecipazione di coloro che hanno sfruttato questa occasione per memorizzare importanti info.
Moltissimi gli incontri dedicati a temi di stringente attualità: il Festival è stato ancora una volta l’occasione per un dibattito sull’importanza dei vaccini, in un momento storico in cui la disinformazione sull’importanza delle vaccinazioni sembra condurre ogni giorno a conseguenze più critiche. Ma tanta anche l’attenzione che è stata dedicata ai delicati temi legati all’utilizzo delle cellule staminali e alla genomica. Tanti i temi su cui il pubblico ha avuto la possibilità di incontrare medici e studiosi: il diabete, le malattie rare, la genomica, il prezzo dei farmaci, la medicina di genere, le bufale del web, la bionica e la robotica, la medicina legale, gli ultrasuoni, i big data, i problemi del sonno, la coscienza, la pet therapy, l’Alzheimer, il rapporto medico-paziente.
La terza edizione del Festival della Scienza Medica ha confermato le 50mila presenze dell’edizione 2016. Lunedì 22 maggio avrà luogo l’evento conclusivo del Festival, che avrà come protagonista il Premio Nobel per l’Economia Amartya Sen. Infine, per recuperare la preziosa collaborazione del Premio Nobel Tomas Lindahl – assente in queste giornate del festival per motivi di salute – il 1 ottobre 2017 è previsto il suo intervento “L’instabilità del DNA e il ruolo di TREX1”.
