Una cura alternativa per poter combattere la calvizie, incubo di milioni e milioni di uomini e sempre più spesso anche della donne: una cura che è già stata ribattezzata la cura del vampiro ed è facile intuire i perché.
In pratica la cura consiste nelle iniezioni di una soluzione di plasma arricchito di piastrine e derivato dal sangue prelevato agli stessi pazienti: un metodo che favorirebbe la ricrescita definitiva dei capelli.
Ne sono certi i ricercatori di un recente studio italo-israeliano pubblicato sul British Journal of Dermatology. Lo studio è stato condotto su 45 volontari affetti da alopecia areata: si tratta di un particolare tipo di alopecia che attualmente non può essere curata.
I pazienti sono stati suddivisi in tre gruppi diversi: a ciascuno è stata iniettata una soluzione diversa, sulla metà del cuoio capelluto (la soluzione al plasma e piastrine, un altro trattamento o una soluzione placebo). Dopo i tre trattamenti effettuati nell’arco di 12 mesi, i ricercatori hanno osservato che i soggetti sottoposti al trattamento con Prp mostravano una vera e propria ricrescita.
Come funziona la cura vampiresca? In pratica, il sangue prelevato al paziente, viene trattato per ricavarne il plasma arricchito di piastrine (Prp): il nuovo prodotto viene iniettato nuovamente al paziente direttamente al cuoio capelluto.
CELLULE STAMINALI CONTRO LA CADUTA DEI CAPELLI FEMMINILE
La soluzione di plasma e piastrine sarebbe in grado di stimolare la ricrescita di nuove cellule staminali sotto la cute, favorendo la ricrescita dei capelli.
La terapia si basa sul principio secondo cui le cellule staminali che si trovano nel bulbo del capello sono dotate di recettori per i fattori di crescita presenti anche nelle piastrine che vanno a stimolare le staminali dei bulbi piliferi a produrre ancora il capello. Il trattamento dura circa sei mesi e la prima ricrescita dei capelli comincia a verificarsi dopo1-2 mesi dalla prima seduta.
